Black Hawk Republicans Take Security Measures For Caucus Night

CEDAR FALLS – Black Hawk County Republican leaders are asking caucus-goers to leave big bags at home on Jan. 3.

GOP leaders are taking security very seriously with all of the county precinct caucuses at the UNI-Dome this year.

Chairman Mac McDonald said it will be the largest caucus under one roof.

With that in mind, they’re warning people that bags will be searched if they are brought inside. To keep it simple, they’re asking people to leave them at home.

McDonald said he is expecting between 4,000 and 6,000 people to show up to the UNI-Dome on caucus night, along with a few of the candidates.
