Cain’s former Iowa director joins Santorum

The former Iowa state director for Herman Cain’s presidential campaign has joined the Rick Santorum for President campaign.

Tina Goff will manage Santorum’s operations in central Iowa, including Polk and Dallas counties. In addition to working for the Cain campaign, Goff was the Mid-Central Iowa field director for Gov. Terry Branstad’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign. She organized voter turnout and volunteer coordination in 17 Iowa counties. Goff previously worked for Sen. Fred Thompson’s 2008 presidential campaign.

The addition of Goff and Tom Intorcio to the Iowa campaign is part of Santorum’s effort to build a team to win Iowa’s first-in-the-nation precinct caucuses.

Intorcio will serve as a field representative for northeast Iowa, including Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Waterloo. Intorcio was a field coordinator during President George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign in northwest Ohio.
