The Iowa Democratic Party has launched its online home of the 2012 Iowa Democratic Caucuses, TheCaucuses.com.
The party encourages Iowans to visit the site to commit to attend their caucus, stay up to date with caucus news and get involved with the 2012 campaign.
“The first-in-the-nation caucuses are a tremendous responsibility and opportunity for Iowans to get involved in the political process and have their voices heard,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chairwoman Sue Dvorsky. “Our new caucus website, TheCaucuses.com, has made it easier than ever to get involved and be a part of the caucus process.”
The 2012 Iowa Democratic Party Caucuses are scheduled to take place in every precinct across the state on Feb. 6, 2012. By signing up on the website, Iowa Democrats are committing to attend their caucus where they will be able to stand up for President Obama’s re-election and get involved with local parties and campaigns. Additional site features will be rolled out throughout the fall as caucus night approaches, each aimed at giving Iowans the information they need to participate in the Iowa Democratic Caucuses and have their voice heard.
“We know who our nominee in 2012 will be, but Iowa Democrats still have an important role to play in the caucus process. It’s our duty to have an informed debate, stand next to our neighbors, and show our state and nation that we support Democratic progress and vision for our country,” Dvorsky added.
