Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has rescheduled his Iowa tour on behalf of his father, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, who is seeking the Republican nomination for president.
The candidate and the senator will make a two-day, five-stop campaign tour in Iowa Aug. 9 and 10. At the five joint events, the junior senator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky will introduce his father, the 12-term Congressman from Texas’s 14th District.
In addition, the night prior to the first day of the Pauls’ two-day tour, Congressman Paul will make a visit to Fairfield, Iowa to mingle with area voters.
The duo’s visit is the first known instance of an incumbent U.S. House member campaigning for the presidency alongside his son, an incumbent U.S. senator.
