Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (Crossroads GPS) July 8 launched the second phase of its $20 million advocacy campaign on runaway government spending and debt. The new national ad, “Wake Up” will run in rotation as both a 60- and 30-second spot on national cable networks, as well as on broadcast TV stations in Iowa, Colorado, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada and Virginia. They will be backed up with significant internet advertising. A total of $228,870 will be spent on network TV and the Internet in Iowa over two weeks.

The total dedicated to the effort, on national cable, local network affiliates, targeted internet ads, and production totals more than $7 million over two weeks.

“As the debt limit negotiations heat up, we need to counter the power of the President’s bully pulpit and make sure Americans are getting the facts,” said Steven Law, president of Crossroads GPS.
