Cain announces Iowa hires, opens headquarters

Republican presidential hopeful  Herman Cain today announced his team in Iowa, as well as details for the grand opening of his campaign’s Iowa headquarters.

His new staff members are: Larry Tuel, state director; Lisa Lockwood, Zach Dalluge and Steven Hensler, field staff.

The announcement follows the departure of Cain’s Iowa organizational director Tina Goff and straw poll director Jim Zeiler as well as Iowa Tea Party founder and Iowa campaign manager Charlie Gruschow.

The team, along with Cain and his national staff, will celebrate the grand opening of his campaign’s Iowa headquarters at 8550 New York Ave., Urbandale, July 11 at 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and press.

Cain, who has visited Iowa 22 times, will compete in the Iowa GOP straw poll Aug. 13.
