Donald Trump says he’s not running for president.

The reality TV star said in a statement Monday that he won’t seek the Republican nomination.

He made his announcement as NBC rolled out its fall lineup. The network is home to Trump’s television show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

Trump has been flirting with a presidential bid for months, traveling to early primary states like New Hampshire, and heckling President Barack Obama from afar.

He is the second Republican in a matter of days to say no to a White House run. Mike Huckabee announced Saturday that he wouldn’t seek the presidency.

One Response to Trump decides against 2012 presidential run

  1. Huckabee and Trump are out. Palin probably is a no-go. At least the most popular (with Republicans), least electable, and most harmful (to the nation) GOP candidates are dropping out.

Come on, Republicans, if you think your party is the only one qualified to put presidents in the White House, then it’s time to put up some decent candidates who actually care about ALL Americans, instead of the divisive bunch of malcontents who pander to your basest motives.
